About the Speakers:

William Marzullo, Manpower

William Marzullo joined Manpower's Los Angeles operations in 2010 as Metro Regional Director – Los Angeles County Region for the company's Staffing business. In this role, he is responsible for quality service delivery, profitable growth, and connection to the community for labor and workforce related issues.Marzullo is a seasoned workforce solutions industry professional, with more than 14 years of experience as an implementation, team-building, and turn-around specialist. Presently, Marzullo serves on a variety business and community based boards to include the LAEDC, VICA, and the Valley Economic Alliance. Marzullo is a certified personal trainer and amateur power lifter in his spare time. He and his family currently reside in the San Gabriel Valley.

Michael Kunkle, Right Management

Michael Kunkle is a highly energetic Human Resource consultant who has worked internationally with highly diverse global enterprises, including Compaq, Deloitte & Touche, and Gap, Inc. Michael Kunkle has more than fourteen years of experience in the areas of Strategic Change, Employee Transformation, Learning and Development, Employee and Customer Loyalty, and Business Process Redesign. Michael Kunkle is a Senior Manager Delivery Consultant for the Pacific Region of Right Management based in Los Angeles.

Yas Nishiyama, Woodbury University

Yas Nishiyama is an Assistant Professor of Economics at Woodbury University. Prior to joining the Woodbury University faculty, he was an economist with Bank of America and, after leaving the Bank, taught at State University of New York, Binghamton, and Pennsylvania State University. He holds an M.A. and an M.S. both from Virginia Tech and a Ph.D. from University of California, Berkeley. His research interests include banking (primary specialization), international finance, applied econometrics, and regional economic growth. His articles have been published in professional journals such as Journal of Regional Science, Asia-Pacific Financial Markets, Journal of Post-Keynesian Economics, Eastern Economic Journal, Applied Economics Letters, Journal of Banking and Finance (forthcoming), and others. During his years with Bank of America, he was a panelist (for California forecast) of Western Blue Chip Economic Forecast published by W. P. Carey School of Business, Arizona State University. Currently he is again a panelist for California forecast.

This program has been approved for 1 recertification credit hour toward PHR, SPHR and GPHR recertification through the Human Resource Certification Institute (HRCI).
